Airsports is an esoteric sport that is not for everybody. However, the many sports included in this class of sports is quickly gaining traction and popularity all around.
People enjoy watching airsports. It is interesting to watch as people don’t want to necessarily risk their lives doing it. However, for those that do, they may not know where they could participate in such activities.
For this, we point you to Southern California in America. America is a great country with many things to see and places to go. Here are two places in America where you can enjoy Airsports.
Temecula Valley
The first place we’ll be talking about is Temecula Valley. In Temecula Valley, you can go and take hot air balloon trips.
There are some people out there who think, what is the point of a hot air balloon trip? There are airplanes now.
However, the unique nature of hot air balloons is something romantic. The way that people float over the valleys at a comfortable pace where you can take the views and horizons in.
Hot air balloons has a deep history in Southern California. The first trans-atlantic hot air balloon flight left from Japan and landed in California. At the same time, balloons were used for the military, for advertising and marketing purposes, and so much more.
Today, it is just a great hobby and experience that people should do.
In Temecula Valley, there are various companies that you can go to in order to experience the ride. However, the Medway Airsports Club is recommending that you attend Temecula Valley’s Balloon and Wine Festival. We hope you can ride the balloon during sunset.
Sylmar
Sylmar is located near the North San Fernando Valley. This place is seen as the mecca of hang gliding. More than 30 years ago, the first hang gliding national championship was hosted in Sylmar.
If you are interested, we suggest that you visit Windsports Hang Gliding. According to the local hang gliding association, Windsports Hang Gliding goes hang gliding for majority of the year, with less than a hundred days off.
This is made even more impressive due to the air conditions that they need to take into consideration.
If you aren’t interested in hang gliding, you can spend the day at what the locals call “The Flight Park” where you have the best view of the fliers.
The company offers several lessons that beginners can take if they aspire to glide through the skies. The lessons last for two hours, or people can opt for a full four-hour lesson.
